About Our House
Our French House is a 200 year old farmhouse which has had its two barns converted into living space. It has four bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities and can easily sleep eight. There is a kitchen, lounge and seperate dining room
It is old and in the countryside so whilst its equipped with most modern appliances, heating is via electric heaters in each room or you can use the wood burners. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and a good range of utensils, crockery, cutlery etc.
There is a pool table in the loft over the lounge (be careful going up the stairs), a TV for DVDs and a Wii (it doesn't access any TV stations), plus a number of family games stored in the Dining Room. There is a selection of garden furniture in the shed and an out door barbeque.
It is well located for exploring Normandy, it is only 45-60 mins to the D-Day beaches, 45 mins to Bayeux, Mont St Michel is an 1 hr 30 mins away. It is 25 mins from the lovely beach at Agon-Coutainville though there are plenty of great beaches along this coast.
It takes no more than an hour and half from either Caen or Cherbourg ferry ports so is easy to get to.
